Highlights from FOSS United:
Wondering what's happening in FOSS United? Here are a few updates from our side:
IndiaFOSS 2025 is over, but the conversations aren’t :)
3 full days of madness, starting with half a dozen pre-events, 2500 registrations for over a hundred talks, over 60 project booths and thousands of conversations. The madness has ended, but like we said, the conversations haven’t.
- While we put together the polished recordings, catch the livestream playlists and here’s the IF2025 photodump
- ICYMI, here’s the Times of India talking about the event, the people and the projects. If you’d rather watch a video report, here’s our friends at MetaMonkeys sharing their IndiaFOSS experience. Watch the Absurd gang’s montage. There’s a lot more, but you can always follow the hashtag and get the full lore.
There’s a new reading group in town | FOSS x Policy
Prompted by multiple threads from IndiaFOSS, a few of us have come together to start a virtual reading group at the intersection of FOSS and public policy. Riding that momentum, we kick-started the pilot session, gathering to discuss the infamous 2014 Policy on adoption of OSS for the Government of India. Catch the notes here, and stay tuned for a lot more :)
