FAQs

Q: Can two different people manage the booth on each day?
A: Yes, but we provide only two free passes covering both days. If you require more passes, please purchase the additional tickets as daily passes are not available.

Q: We have a commercial offering based on our FOSS project. Is there anything specific we should keep in mind regarding the booth presentation?
A: At IndiaFOSS, the focus is strictly on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Your booth is an excellent opportunity to introduce participants to the project and explain the FOSS problems it solves. However, please ensure discussions focus on the FOSS aspects of your project only. Commercial or enterprise marketing unrelated to the core FOSS work must be kept low key. IndiaFOSS is a community conference dedicated to fostering and celebrating free and open source communities and technologies.

Q: Does anyone need to be at the booth all the time?
A: Yes, you can take breaks, but try to have at least one person present most of the time, and two people during peak hours like tea breaks.

Q: What is the size of the booth table?
A: Each booth table measures 3 feet wide (facing visitors) and 2.5 feet deep.

Q: Will power be provided to the booth?
A: We will try to provide a separate power board for each booth. In the worst case, power boards may be shared.

Q: What merchandise and branding materials may be brought?
A: We recommend bringing one standee and one table-top cloth banner to cover the table. Please use cloth or biodegradable banners only. You are welcome to bring stickers and a few T-shirts, bottles, tote bags, pens, notebooks to give away. Please do not run campaigns like "Star us on GitHub" to get merchandise; the IndiaFOSS team does not support such campaigns.

Q: Will an HDMI connector from laptop to TV be provided if TV is opted for?
A: Yes, the HDMI connector will be provided.

Q: Will we get WiFi access?
A: Yes, we are working to provide WiFi this year and will keep you posted with details.

Q: Can we bring our laptops or monitors to put on the table?
A: Yes, you can bring laptops or monitors for your booth.
