Highlights from FOSS United:

Wondering what's happening in FOSS United? Here are a few updates from our side:

  • What’s up with IndiaFOSS 2025?

Your favourite event of the year (and no, not Himesh Reshamiya’s Capmania tour) is only 3 months away. IndiaFOSS 2025 comes to Bengaluru from 19-21 Sept. A million updates, but top three for you:

    • First, have you gotten your tickets already?

    • Second, in case you’ve missed the half a dozen or so emails about this, the Call for Proposals for talks and panels is live. You know the drill. DEADLINE

    • Third, and the most imp, Diversity Sponsorships! Help us make space for underrepresented and marginalised voices at IndiaFOSS. Last year, this initiative enabled dozens of students, first-time speakers, and contributors to attend IndiaFOSS. This year, we want to do more. We’re inviting individuals and organisations to support this effort. Your contribution can directly help someone be part of this space, find community, and share their work or feel free to forward this to someone who can help.

  • #MeetTheMaintainers, now on forklore.in

This Maintainer May, we set out to highlight one super-duper maintainer from the Indian open source community every day. Well, May is gone, but the stories aren’t. Introducing Forklore, where we bring you confessions, quirks, and the occasional rant from India's open source keepers. Find the 31 stories from May, and submit more here.

  • FOSSHack 2025: Round 2 Results Are Out!

After much discussion, reviews, and reruns of demo videos, we’re finally here. The second round of FOSSHack results has been announced. Head over to the forum to check out the updated list of winning teams: FOSS Hack 2025 - Round 2 results.
